Mastercraft prostar mastercraft originated as a ski boat builder, so it stands to reason that it should still build one of the best tournament ski boats on the market. the prostar is performing at the top of its game, even if slalom skiing has fallen behind wakeboarding and wakesurfing in terms of popularity. the needs of the tournament slalom skier haven’t changed, but the prostar has.. Ski boats generally use lake water/ocean water for cooling the engine, not just the exhaust. think through what salt water does to the exhaust risers on your large boat, and then compound the issue by circulating saltwater through your engine cavities, any heater cores you have, etc.. Use salt terminator or salt away. they not only clean out the salt but also leave a coating inside the engine to protect it. when i boated in salt water my clean up procedure would take about an hour but the boat looked great after years of use in salt water. i'm speaking of a jet ski but the principles are the same..
